Lean Thinking is a culture within an organization that evaluates process inputs which contribute little or no value to final products and services as perceived by the customer. These non-value added activities are known as “wastes.”

This course develops the skills necessary for performing an objective Lean analysis and development of an implementation and control plan specific to a company or department within a company. The internal lean facilitator must have a general understanding of both the processes and the tangible and intangible influences on these processes.

The format for this course includes several practical mini group projects and workshops directly related to process and performance problems within the organization. The theoretical basis for Lean is presented to the extent of answering the “why” questions for each step of this process.

Participants completing this course are immediately able to apply their newly acquired Lean Thinking application skills immediately upon returning to their regular work assignments.
